A lady in Wichita taught me her grandma's rose trick at the farmers market

She said to crush one aspirin into the vase water with a teaspoon of sugar and a drop of bleach, and I tried it on my last 30 stems last Saturday, the roses lasted 11 days instead of 5, has anyone else tested this mix or am I just lucky with that batch?
