That moment at a wedding in Austin when my floral foam soaked through the arbor and dripped on the bride...
I was setting up this big arch for a Saturday afternoon ceremony and drenched the foam way too heavy, then two hours later the water started dripping right on her dress during the first look, so I had to scramble and wedge dry moss into the gaps to catch the leaks - has anyone else had a water disaster with arrangements hanging up high?

Honestly, the same thing happened to me last fall with a ceremony arch that had these huge floral balls hanging from fishing line. I thought I'd sealed the foam well but nope, it started dripping right when the couple was saying their vows. Ended up having to dangle little clear cups underneath to catch the drips. Ngl, it looked ridiculous but it worked. Tbh now I always let the foam sit for a good 15 minutes after soaking and squeeze out the extra water before hanging anything overhead.

Little clear cups dangling from a ceremony arch mid-vows? lol I can't even picture that without cracking up. That's some next level problem solving right there.

How funny is it that we're all out here MacGyvering wedding decor with clear cups and fishing line while the whole time the couple has no idea what's happening behind them? @ivan462 is probably right that nobody noticed but let's be real, the stress of watching those drips is enough to age you ten years even if nobody else sees them. I'd rather look ridiculous fixing it upfront than spend the whole ceremony waiting for disaster to strike.

10 bucks says the bride didn't even notice that moss trick until someone pointed it out in the photos later. I've been to plenty of weddings and people are so wrapped up in their own moment that little stuff like that goes right over their heads. So what if a couple drops of water hit her dress? It's going to get dirt on the bottom by the end of the night anyway. The foam thing happens and honestly, as long as nobody got hurt or the arch didn't collapse, I think it's a non-issue. You fixed it fast, that's what matters. People stress way too much over details nobody else sees.
