That time I swore off wire stems... now I swear by them

I used to think wire stems were a gimmick for lazy florists lol. Then I had a wedding order for 200 boutonnieres back in March and the regular stems kept snapping on me. Tried wiring just 10 of them as a test and they held up perfect through the whole event. Now I wire anything delicate like anemones or ranunculus without even thinking about it. Anybody else been converted on something they hated at first?

Right? Totally get that. I used to think floral tape was just extra work until I had a batch of tulips go limp two hours before a delivery.

@davidshah, did the wire trick fix the tulips for you too or just the boutonnieres?

Straight pins through the stems right below the bloom saved my boutonnieres every time.
