Got burned on that 'premium' portfolio builder - $150 down the drain
I spent $150 on that fancy portfolio platform last spring, the one with all the templates and client management tools... turned out half the features were broken and support took 3 weeks to reply. Ended up switching to a free Carrd page in like 2 hours. Has anyone else gotten tricked by those overhyped tools?

... well, I don't know that I'd call it "tricked" exactly. I mean, you paid $150 for something without really looking into it first, right? That's kinda on you for not checking reviews or asking around before handing over your money. These tools pop up every week and most of them are just pretty websites with nothing behind them. Live and learn, I guess. Carrd works fine for a basic page anyway.

Yeah, I bought a $200 "hologram business card" once and it just showed ads for itself.
