A local coffee shop reached out in March and I figured $500 was fair for a quick logo. Turns out they wanted 8 rounds of tweaks over 3 weeks, all on colors and fonts I already showed them. I learned to put a hard revision cap in every contract now, no exceptions. Anyone else get burned on unlimited revisions before?

For like 2 years I figured cold emails just got deleted instantly. I barely bothered with them because everyone says nobody reads them anymore. But last month I sent out maybe 15 super short ones to local businesses in my area, just offering to do their social media graphics. That one client who pushed me to work on a Sunday and it backfired on both of us

I had a client last year who kept texting me on a Saturday night asking for a rush job. They said they needed it by Monday morning no matter what. I caved and worked all Sunday. Come Monday, they said the project got put on hold and didn't need it anymore. Wasted a whole weekend. Has anyone else had a client pull something like this where you bent over backwards for nothing?
