Everyone says to cold call for leads but I tried it for a month and got nowhere
I spent 4 weeks making 50 calls a day, got 2 meetings, and zero deals. Then I put $500 into targeted Facebook ads for a local condo project. That got me 15 solid leads and 3 signed clients in two weeks. The ads just work better for finding people who are already looking. Has anyone else moved away from cold calls and seen better results with online ads?

Why does everyone think pounding the pavement with calls is the only way to hustle? I switched to ads two years ago and never looked back. The calls just drain your energy for nothing, but ads put you right in front of people who are already searching. @theacooper nailed it with that spoon and shovel comparison. Cold calls feel like work, but they're mostly busywork that doesn't pay off. Targeted ads let you actually pick who sees your stuff instead of begging strangers to listen.

What do you think I was doing while all those voicemails played? I was scrolling Facebook and spending that ad money too. The spoon digging was just my way of feeling productive while the real work happened online. Sometimes you gotta do the pointless thing to make the smart thing feel better, you know? It’s like a weird mental game. Honestly the calls were just an excuse to get away from my own ads for a few minutes.
