Hit $15k in a month last August and it felt wrong

I hit $15k in freelance work last August and honestly it made me uneasy. Everyone talks about chasing bigger paychecks but nobody mentions how your brain fights you when you actually get there. I was working from my home office in Denver and kept checking the numbers because they didn't feel real. The milestone mattered because it showed me my cheap Ikea setup and 12 hour days were working against me, not for me. I ended up renting a shared studio space the next month and my income actually dipped but my sanity came back. Has anyone else felt guilty or weird when their income jumped way up?

your brain fights you" - maybe it was just telling you that you don't deserve it yet.

Totally agree with you @anthony_jackson31. Had the same thing happen when I started learning guitar. Kept telling myself I wasn't good enough to play in front of people. But really I just wasn't putting in the hours. Once I practiced daily for a month straight that voice got quieter. It's not telling you you don't deserve it. It's telling you you haven't earned it yet.

Man, I've been there too @anthony_jackson31. That voice is just your brain protecting you from looking dumb. The only cure is just doing it anyway.
