I finally switched from coworking to a home office after 4 years
Honestly, I used to swear by my WeWork membership in Austin back in 2018. Paid $250 a month for a desk and free coffee, thought it was the only way to focus. Then the pandemic hit and I had to work from my tiny apartment, and I was surprised how much I got done. Now I've got a dedicated corner with a good chair and a ring light for calls, and I'm saving about $3,000 a year. The only thing I miss is the random chats with other freelancers at the coffee machine. Has anyone else found a way to recreate that community feel from home?

Ngl I spent the first three days of working from home wearing pajama pants and convincing myself that folding laundry counted as a break. By day four I was talking to my plants like they were coworkers and rage-cleaning the microwave at 2pm. Honestly the only thing keeping me sane is setting a timer for 25 minutes of staring at my screen followed by 5 minutes of staring at the wall.
