Hit 100 coffee shop workdays in one city and it got weird
I've been freelancing in Chiang Mai for 6 months and just realized I've worked from over 40 different coffee shops here, mostly because I chase free WiFi and good outlets. Last week I walked into one and the barista handed me my usual order before I even said a word, which was both cool and a little creepy. Has anyone else hit a random milestone like this that made you stop and think about your routine?

The barista remembering your order is just step one. Wait until they start asking about your freelance deadlines or that project you mentioned once. I had a coffee shop in Austin where they knew my whole weekly schedule. Tuesday morning, they'd have my oat milk latte ready before I even sat down. That's when you know you're a regular for real.

Respectfully disagree - sometimes it feels a little nosy, you know?

Buddy of mine stopped going to a place after they called to check why he hadn't been in for a week.
