Skipped the pre-stain step on pine and paid the price
I thought I could save time by not using a conditioner. Now the stain is uneven, and I'm facing hours of sanding to fix it.

Maybe it's not as big a deal as we make it. People tend to overthink this stuff lol. Hard to see why it's mandatory.

In Arizona last year, the mandate actually saved several small clinics from closing because it brought in steady patients for basic checks. Without that rule, a lot of folks just wouldn't go in until they were really sick. It's less about the check-up itself and more about keeping the whole local health system running. Have you seen something similar where you live?
