That one comment about my pegboard spacing totally changed my setup
I had my pegboard up for about 6 months and thought it looked fine. Then a buddy (works at a garage shop off Central Ave) stopped by and said 'you got too much air between your tool hooks, you need to group them by job not by tool type.' It sounded dumb at first but I tried it. I moved all my wrenches and sockets near the workbench and put the hammer stuff by the door. Now I save like 15 seconds each trip, which adds up to maybe 10 minutes a day. Has anyone else gotten weird layout advice that actually worked?

Too much air between your tool hooks" is the story of my life, but with snacks and my belly.

The "too much air between your tool hooks" part hits close to home. I started packing snacks in those small mason jars instead of bags. Keeps them packed tight and you can see exactly how much you have left. It also stops them from getting crushed at the bottom of your bag. Learned that one after too many sad, flattened granola bars.

That "sad flattened granola bar" line got me. Saw a buddy try this once but with those little rubbermaid snack containers. He ended up having to shake everything out just to find his almonds. @lucashenderson probably knows the struggle of digging through a bag like you're panning for gold. Mason jars seem smarter though, less fumbling.
