Found a ceiling mounted bike rack that changed my garage entirely

I used to trip over two mountain bikes every time I parked, but last week I put up a $40 pulley system from Harbor Freight. Now I get the whole floor space back and my car actually fits. Has anyone found a good way to store kayaks up there too?

You got a Harbor Freight pulley system that actually works? I bought one once and the rope snapped on the third pull and dropped my bike on my trunk.

Did your buddy get his trunk fixed? I had a friend swap in some thick marine rope and it held up for years after that.

That Harbor Freight pulley got my bike too. Cheap hardware store pulleys use nylon rope that stretches and slips over time, especially in a garage where it gets dusty. Try some double braided poly rope from a marine supply store and a cheap boat winch pulley instead, way more reliable for the long term.
