My disappearing sock saga ended when I found the dryer manual.
I blamed glitches for lost laundry, but the manual showed a hidden compartment. Now I know it's user error, not reality breaking.

Yeah that hidden compartment thing got me too lol. Check the lint filter area, socks love to get wedged in there behind the drawer.

Oh man, the lint filter is like a black hole for socks. I swear I've lost more socks there than in the actual wash. Once I found a whole mismatched pair wedged behind it, and I was just happy to see them again. It's like my dryer is secretly saving socks for later, which is pretty funny.
