Finally caved on a standing desk converter, $89 later...
I've been fighting back pain for like 6 months sitting at my dining table setup. My sister kept telling me to try a standing desk thing. Found a cheap $89 converter on sale a few weeks ago, it just sits on top of my table. First two days my legs hurt so bad I almost returned it. But after that it got way better and now my back actually feels okay by 5pm. Anyone else have a hard time adjusting to standing at their desk?

Started with 5 minute intervals and worked up slow.

That slow buildup is really key. I started with 3 minutes of jogging, then a minute of walking, over and over for 20 minutes total. It felt pathetic at first but after 2 weeks I could do 5 minute runs. What also helped me was focusing on my breathing, like a 3 step inhale and a 2 step exhale, kept me from getting winded too fast. Also don't be afraid to walk even if you feel good, that extra rest early on saved my knees big time.
