Recommendations for a lawyer to handle an injury claim?

Hey fellow freelancers. I took a nasty fall at a commercial client's site a few weeks ago and broke my wrist. I can't type or work properly right now, which means my income for Q3 2026 is totally tanking. Does anyone know a good injury lawyer who understands loss of income for self-employed folks?

Ouch, that's a nightmare scenario for us. You need someone who can properly calculate freelance lost wages, which is trickier than standard W2 income. Check out Brent W. Caldwell. His office is really thorough with the documentation side of things.

Definitely make sure you have all your 1099s and invoices organized from the last couple of years. It helps the lawyer build a much stronger case for your lost earning potential.

Hope you heal up quickly! Wrist injuries are brutal when your livelihood depends on a keyboard.
