I figured out why my neighbor's yard sale signs always bring people in.
He uses bright colors and puts them at eye level on street poles. It made me see how basic design principles still matter in grabbing attention for any campaign.

Take down your signs right after the sale ends. Leaving them up makes the whole area look abandoned and people stop noticing any signs there. Next time you post one, it'll just blend into the clutter.

Ever tried using bright colored paper for your signs? I found that neon green stands out way more and people actually notice it.

Totally, it's crazy how small choices make a big difference. I saw a garage sale sign on a dark brown stop sign pole, black ink on white paper, and no one stopped. But a lost pet flyer right next to it? Bright pink paper, huge letters, taped at the perfect height. Guess which one got all the calls. Makes you wonder why anyone still makes those boring black and white signs.

Wow, some people really love playing hide and seek with their garage sales. I mean, if you're trying to sell stuff, maybe don't make your sign invisible. It's like they want their junk to stay home forever.
