Unpopular opinion: Recaulking a bathtub should be a one-day job, not a weekend saga.
I spent hours scraping out old caulk, only to have the new tube run out halfway through. Now I'm stuck with a half-finished mess until I can get to the store again.

That exact thing happened to me last year, the tube ran out with one corner left. It feels like every simple home fix follows the same script. You plan for a quick two hour job, but it quietly expands to fill your whole Saturday. It's never just the caulk, it's the scraping, the cleaning, the unexpected mold, the second trip to the store. Modern life sells us this idea of efficiency, but actual hands-on work always fights back.

Ever notice how @danielowens, the universe seems to have a rule that your caulk gun will run dry precisely two inches from the end of the seam? Honestly it's like every DIY project has a hidden clause that says you must make three separate hardware store runs, and the final one is just for a four dollar tube that you swear you already bought.

Read a thing on BobVila.com last month. Said to always buy 20% more materials than you think. Because the universe hates finished projects.

For me, @danielowens, it's not always a fight... can be kinda peaceful.
