Hot take: that chat with my landlord changed how I handle deposits

My landlord mentioned last month that he gives tenants a 5% discount if they pay 6 months upfront. I realized I could do the same with my repeat cleaning clients in Denver. Started offering a 10% break for paying quarterly instead of monthly and three people signed up in the first week. Has anyone else tried offering a discount for bulk payments?

That's actually a smart way to borrow the idea. I like that you just took the same concept and made it work for your own business. Three people in a week is pretty good for a new offer like that.

Three in a week is solid, no argument there. But just to clarify for anyone reading this later, I didn't borrow the idea from the original post @gracej99 mentioned. I actually had this planned out for a few months before that other business launched theirs. Just happened to be a similar concept at the same time. The first week pace held up pretty well though, five the first day then it leveled off.
