Saw someone ask for a "brand storyteller" at $12/hour and I actually snorted
Was scrolling through a gig board earlier and this job post wanted someone to "craft their brand narrative" and "build emotional connection with customers" for $12 an hour. That's less than I make flipping burgers and I have to dodge hot oil. I get that small businesses are broke but asking for that kind of soul work at fast food wages feels disrespectful. Has anyone else seen job titles that sound fancy but pay like crap?

Honestly, that kind of pay for storytelling feels like they want a poet and are offering pocket change.

Tbh "poet for pocket change" is giving the whole thing way too much credit, it's just a low-effort gig posting with a fancy title slapped on.
