Waiting for a concert once, the band was three hours late. Just sat on damp concrete outside the venue listening to some weird opener on repeat. That kind of pointless waiting just kills your soul after a while.

Look, waiting for paint to dry beats most alternatives. It forces you to slow down and actually look at something, maybe notice details you'd miss otherwise. The Claire's damp concrete nightmare is just bad planning, not a rule. Sometimes your brain needs that dead space to reset, instead of always rushing to the next thing.
