That old diner on Route 9 where the wifi actually worked better than my home connection
I stopped into Mabel's Diner last Tuesday because I needed a break from my kitchen table setup and their coffee is $1.50 a cup. Sat in the back booth near the pie case and got through three hours of editing without a single drop or lag, which never happens with my home ISP. Anybody else find a random spot that somehow has better internet than what you pay $60 a month for?
Wait, who's Mabel and where can I get her wifi? That sounds like some kind of black magic. My router dies if I look at it wrong, like during a rainstorm I'm basically offline. I can't stream a single YouTube video without it buffering for ten minutes. So yeah, hearing someone has actual solid internet is wild to me.
Yeah I used to just accept terrible wifi as normal too, but honestly once I tried something decent it's hard to go back. Mabel's setup sounds like the kind of connection that actually works when you need it, not just a maybe.
