Redoing my gym's flyer made me question the 'clean' design dogma
Many in our community push for super simple, calm designs for health and fitness graphics. I respectfully disagree with that approach. When I redesigned flyers for my gym, I went with loud colors and chaotic layouts instead. The response was great, with more people saying it caught their eye and got them excited to work out. For example, using orange and black in a busy collage style made the energy feel real. Clean designs can look nice, but they often don't spark the motivation needed for fitness. I think we should use bold, active visuals to match the sweat and effort of exercise.
