Hit 500 completed projects this morning. Didnt even notice until I checked my log.
I keep a simple spreadsheet. Just dates and project names. Saw the number today and had to double check. Felt weird. Like it snuck up on me. Never thought Id get past 50 back when I started. Anyone else got a number like that? Something you just looked up one day and it stopped you cold.

Write down the milestones on paper too... I started doing that after 250 and it made the numbers feel more real than a spreadsheet. The small wins like 25 or 50 projects helped me keep going when bigger goals felt impossible. Break it into chunks like that, makes the whole thing less overwhelming.

You've had the same issue with spreadsheets feeling too disconnected? Writing it out by hand definitely changes how your brain processes it, I found that out the hard way after staring at a screen for months. The physical act of crossing off 25 or 50 with a pen hits different, like you're actually making progress instead of just watching numbers change. Breaking it into those small chunks also stops you from burning out before you hit the bigger target, which is honestly the hardest part. I started keeping a little notebook just for this after I kept losing track of where I was at, and it's made a huge difference in staying motivated.

Man, that feeling when a milestone just sneaks up on you like that... It's a strange kind of surprise but a good one. I think writing it out by hand like you mentioned makes the number stick in your head more than just a spreadsheet. Props for sticking with it that long, it's easy to lose track of the small victories.
