I picked the 'charge late fees' route instead of being nice about it

After a client sat on a $320 invoice for 45 days, I finally added a 5% late fee to my next invoice instead of sending another polite reminder. It got paid in 3 days flat. Has anyone else seen late fees actually backfire on them?

Whoa wait, 45 days? That is insane, I can't believe you waited that long. I would have lost my mind after like two weeks honestly, that's just disrespectful. Glad the late fee worked out though, that's awesome it got paid so fast after.

Try adding a late fee clause in your next contract, that speeds things up real quick.
