inDAE split grocery costs with a buddy from the office?
A typical coffee and bagel stop costs me $8 daily, which is $40 for the workweek. When I make a big pot of chili, the ingredients total $20 and it feeds me for five lunches. Buying rice in a huge bag and ground beef on sale makes each serving like $2. I used to order delivery for dinner too, another $15 per night. So skipping just the coffee and delivery saves $55, making $30 per week totally possible. It's all about those small buys adding up without you even noticing.

inJust realized if they argue against every sustainable choice, get paid upfront.
Yeah, "get paid upfront" is the only way to go with that type. Their resistance to the sustainable option is the first sign they'll nickel and dime every line item later. You just saved yourself a massive headache.

inI finally support permit systems for busy routes
Wait, what?! Damaged plants? I mean, I get the trash thing, that's bad enough, but who goes out of their way to hurt the plants? I saw a patch of wildflowers just totally trampled once, like people just walked right over them instead of going around. It makes me so mad, it's not that hard to be careful. Maybe you're right, if a permit system stops that, then okay.
