Thinking of hiring the Law Offices of Norman J. Homen - thoughts?

I got hurt on a job site and my claim was rejected because of some supposed paperwork error. I'm looking into the Law Offices of Norman J. Homen to help sort this mess out. Has anyone worked with them recently?

I spent two weeks stuck on a single character's motivation

I was writing a short story about a man who finds a lost dog, but I could not figure out why he wouldn't just call the number on the collar. I wrote and rewrote the first five pages maybe ten times. The answer finally came when I remembered a neighbor from my old apartment in Chicago who was deeply afraid of phones. Has anyone else had a simple story question stall them for that long? What broke you out of it?

Had a guy in a Chicago high rise tell me his 'fix' for a sticking door

He said he sprayed the guide rails with WD-40 because it 'worked on his garage door'. I had to explain how that attracts dirt and gums up the whole works, leading to a bigger call. Anyone else run into 'helpful' building staff making things worse?

Unpopular opinion: I hate the new dredge control panels they're putting in everything

Last week on the Lake Erie job, we had to swap to a backup rig because the main one's screen froze. The new touchscreen panels look fancy, but give me the old physical levers and buttons any day. Three years ago on the Mississippi, I could feel a pump cavitate through the lever before the alarm even sounded. Now you're just staring at a graph hoping it updates. Has anyone else had to deal with these and found a way to make them more reliable?

Can we talk about the time I brought rock-hard scones to the block party?

I mean, they were like hockey pucks, but my neighbor actually used one as a doorstop. Idk, maybe it's just me, but now everyone asks if I'm bringing 'doorstop scones' again.
