Saw a guy at the shop last month replace a whole fuel pump assembly on his Cherokee. Three hours of swearing. His buddy finally asked to see the live data, found a chafed wire to the pump relay. Five cent electrical tape fix after all that.

Yeah, the "just one more thing" chats are the worst. I read a blog post from a freelance designer who said the same thing, but they took it a step further. They actually list what the project does NOT include, right in the contract. Like, "this price does not cover content writing or extra revision rounds." Makes the boundaries super clear from the start.

You mentioned checking the springs first, but I always start with the leveling feet. If the machine isn't level, it'll shake no matter what.

Seriously, that extra setup time kills me too. I've seen guys skip mats on what looked like perfect compacted gravel, only to have a leg punch in a few inches after a full lift. It's never about how it looks before, it's about the insane point load when you're fully rigged. Not worth the risk of a shut down lol.
