A lawyer at a coffee shop on Central told me my flat rate was the problem, not my speed
I was working on my laptop at a shop on Central last Tuesday when the guy next to me asked what I do. I told him I install fences and pick up freelance design work on the side, and he said my flat rate of $150 per logo might be why I keep getting burned out. He asked how many rounds of changes I usually do, and I said sometimes five or six. He said quote the number of rounds in writing, then bill $40 for each extra one, because people respect a limit. My last three projects each went two rounds over, so that is $240 I just ate. Has anyone here actually tried capping revision rounds, and did it tick people off or did they take it fine?
