Appreciation post: started invoicing from the coffee shop on Central and my books finally make sense
For two years I tracked every freelance gig in a paper notebook, which meant I was always guessing who still owed me money. Back in January I switched to a simple invoice template on my laptop and now I send it the same day I finish the work, usually from the table by the window at the Flying Star on Central. My unpaid invoices dropped from around 6 to 2 in the first quarter, mostly because I quit waiting until the end of the month to bill people. Anyone else notice that faster invoicing actually got clients to pay faster, or is that just me?

Send it same day and they pay same week, that little bit of speed just makes them feel bad for sitting on it.
