inI thought a kill fee was just a way for clients to back out, but it saved me $2,000 last month.
Totally saved my butt once too. Had a client ghost after the first draft. That kill fee was the only reason I got paid anything.

inSaw a barber in Seattle using a simple trick to keep his station clean
Seems like a solution in search of a problem. Most guys just wipe their gear down between clients, it takes ten seconds. That whole setup sounds more complicated than just cleaning as you go.

inI was sure those magnetic wire holders were a gimmick until my buddy left one on a job
My buddy swore by his little telescoping inspection mirror for years and I always gave him crap for it. Then he was looking for a short in a packed disconnect, couldn't see a thing, and that dinky mirror on a stick found a chewed wire tucked behind a lug in like two minutes. I had to eat my words and got one the next day.

inJust read that the earliest known bound books were Buddhist texts from the 1st century AD, found in a cave in Afghanistan.
Check out the actual texts before dismissing them, hunt.hayden. Reading the Gospel of Thomas made me see how diverse early Christian thought really was. It's not about getting shook up, it's about understanding the whole conversation.
