Got a $150 gig from a Duke City coffee shop by walking in with a one page sample
Cold emails to local spots off Central got me nothing for months, so I just brought a mock menu design into a cafe on Rio Grande and asked for 5 minutes. Has anyone else had better luck showing up in person around here, or is that too pushy?

Whoa that takes guts walking in cold like that. What did you actually say when you handed over the menu, did you just ask for the owner or manager straight up? And did they pay you the 150 right there or did it take some back and forth first?
