Got so tired of chasing late payments from a big downtown client

Started putting a simple 15% late fee clause in my contracts after the third month they stalled. The next invoice got paid on time, no fuss. Anyone else found a contract tweak that actually works here?

Yeah three months is rough, been there. What finally got them moving for me was sending a short, clear email every single morning at 9 AM. Just "Checking on the status of X, please advise." No anger, just a daily ping. It got annoying enough that someone finally pushed it through to make the emails stop. Sometimes you just have to be the squeaky wheel.
