I was dead wrong about AI image generators until I tried one for a real project
I spent like 2 years rolling my eyes at DALL-E and Midjourney stuff. Thought it was just for making weird meme art or fake celebrity photos. Then last month I needed a bunch of custom illustrations for a client presentation and the budget was zero dollars. Gave it a shot with some specific prompts about industrial pipes and the output was actually usable after like 5 tries. Not perfect, but saved me 8 hours of manual work. Has anyone else had that moment where you went from hater to user?

It's funny how that works, isn't it? Same thing happened to me with smart speakers. Hated them, thought they were useless, then I got one as a gift and now I use it to set timers while cooking and suddenly it's indispensable. I think there's this whole category of tech where you have to actually need it in a specific, annoying situation before it clicks. Like, the hype train makes everything look dumb, but the real use is just boring and practical.

Read an article calling them "ambient tech" that just solves tiny daily problems.

Heard someone call it "invisible infrastructure" once.
