Pro tip: My air fryer just hit 1,000 uses and the basket is a different color now

I checked the manual and it says the non-stick coating can degrade from high heat over time, which is a safety thing. Anyone else had to replace their basket after heavy use?

You mentioned the manual says high heat degrades the coating. I'm curious, what do you consider high heat for everyday use? Like, are you blasting it at 400 degrees for every meal, or mostly doing lower temp stuff like reheating? Trying to figure out if I'm being too hard on mine.

Honestly, I only skimmed it after my first pan got that weird cloudy look. But yeah, what @jana509 said tracks. My take is that "high heat" means anything over medium on your biggest burner for a long time, like searing a steak. If you're just warming soup or scrambling eggs on medium-low, you're probably fine. It's that constant max heat that seems to wreck the non-stick over time. So, Victor, are you using it for stuff like high-heat stir-fries every day, or just normal cooking?
