Thought my air fryer was broken for 3 weeks, turns out I just never preheated it
I got so mad at my air fryer last month that I almost returned it to the Target on Elston. Everything came out pale and soggy in the middle, even frozen fries at 400 degrees for 18 minutes. Then my roommate watched me dump a batch of wings in cold and just said "you know it has a preheat button right." Now I hit preheat for 3 minutes first and the same wings get crispy in 12 minutes flat. Does anyone actually skip preheating on purpose, or did I just miss this for a whole year?

Did you know those things have a little book in the box that nobody reads? I did the same thing with my microwave for like six months, kept wondering why my leftovers were cold in the middle. My sister finally pointed at the turntable and asked if I ever took the plastic wrap off the top.
