I finally rewatched a show I loved as a kid and the pacing problem is real
I sat down last weekend and ran through all 26 episodes of a mecha show I used to tape off TV back in the day, and about halfway in I caught myself fast forwarding. People keep telling new viewers to just push through the slow arcs, but that's wrong. I timed it out and roughly 9 of those episodes barely move the plot forward at all, they're just guys standing around recapping stuff we already saw. It's not nostalgia damage either, the good episodes still hold up great, but the padding is way more obvious when you watch them back to back. Did anyone else do a full rewatch lately and hit a wall like that? Which show broke you?
