My Blu-ray player died mid-episode, so I finished the whole series on my laptop screen

The player gave out at 2am on a Tuesday during episode 7 of a 26 episode mecha show, and I spent the next three weeks hunched over a 13 inch screen at my kitchen table, but honestly the smaller picture forced me to notice background details I'd have totally missed on the big TV, has anyone else had a viewing setup fail turn into a better experience?

Kinda reminds me of the time my projector bulb blew out during a movie marathon. Ended up watching the rest on my old tablet propped against a cereal box. Weird thing is, the tiny screen made me focus on the voice acting more. Really noticed how much the music carried the quiet scenes. On the big screen, explosions and stuff drown that out. Now I kinda get why some folks watch anime on their phones. Plus, no glare from the kitchen light at 3am. That was a win. Ended up buying a new bulb a month later but honestly, haven't gone back to the big setup much since.
