That moment I stopped trusting the error code on a dryer in Tampa
Had a Samsung dryer flashing a heating error, swapped the thermistor and thermal fuse, still dead. Turned out the customer's dog had chewed the vent hose outside, air couldn't move so the sensor kept tripping, took me 3 visits to figure out. Anyone else had a code send you down the wrong path for hours?

Yep, seen that way too many times. Code says thermistor, but the real issue is airflow. Had one where a bird built a nest right in the outside vent cap, same deal, dryer kept throwing heat codes. The sensor was doing its job, it was just reading bad info because the air couldn't get out. Lesson learned, always check the whole vent run before you start throwing parts at it. Saves you a return trip and saves the customer some money.
