Hot take: I thought self checkout at the Northgate Walmart in Spokane was just a way to cut jobs until I used one last Friday
I walked in around 8pm for just milk and bread and the line for a cashier was 9 people deep. The self checkout had 4 open lanes, so I scanned my two items and was out in about 90 seconds. Now I am wondering if anyone else has switched sides on these things, or if I just got lucky with a quiet night.
