Just realized my old way of handling forum questions is totally broken now
Last week, I was trying to answer a technical question on a forum and my whole system crashed. I had three different reference tabs open and my notes app just froze up completely. I ended up having to restart my laptop and lost about an hour of work. Has anyone else had their usual research method fail on them recently? What do you use now to keep track of answers?
Ever notice how this isn't just a browser thing? It feels like we're trying to hold too many thoughts open at once in real life too. My kitchen counter ends up looking like a browser window, just piles of half finished tasks instead of tabs. We're told to multitask but it just makes everything messy and hard to find. Maybe the real fix is learning to close things out, one at a time, before we open something new.
Saw a tech article about this. They called it tab overload. People end up with fifty tabs open across three windows. Makes the computer slow. Hard to find anything. The article said to use bookmarks more often. Or just close stuff when you're done.
