Wasted $60 on a fancy water filter pitcher that did nothing

Ngl I fell for all those ads about how this brand of filter removes everything from tap water. Spent $60 on the pitcher plus three replacement filters. After two months I noticed my water still tasted the same as before. So I bought a $15 test kit from the hardware store. Turns out the filter was barely taking out any of the minerals or chlorine. I could have just used a $10 jug from the grocery store and gotten the same result. Has anyone else tried those expensive filters and found out they were a scam?

Those test kits are eye openers. @kim_mason55 is right, they really show you what's actually in your water and whether those filters are doing anything.

@kim_mason55 called it. @garcia.cameron those test kits really do show the truth. I used one on my fridge filter and found out it was basically doing nothing either.

That test kit totally changed my mind about those filters honestly.
