I read that stacking 100 photos of the same star cluster can pull out colors our eyes can't see.

That makes me wonder if my old DSLR could actually capture some of that with enough patience and the right free stacking program, or is that just for the fancy cooled astro-cameras?

Actually tried that with my old camera last year. Got a weird green tint on everything, but you could see more stars. Makes you wonder what else is out there, right?

That green tint is usually just a camera sensor issue, not a cosmic filter. It's a cool effect, but it's tech, not magic.
