I used to think the 'Endless Eight' arc in Haruhi was just a weird filler mess.

I was watching it with my friend Kyle in his dorm room and he pointed out how the tiny changes in each loop, like a different hair clip or drink order, were the whole point. It made me actually appreciate the artistic choice instead of just getting annoyed. Anyone else have a show that seemed dumb until someone explained the director's intent?

Showerthought: My internet speed in Chiang Mai went from hero to zero in 6 months

Back in January, I was pulling a solid 80 Mbps down in my condo near Nimman. It was perfect for video calls and uploading client files. Now, in July, I'm lucky to get 15 on a good day, and it drops out every afternoon. I think the building just got too many new remote workers and the shared line can't handle it. The landlord just shrugs when I ask about it. Has anyone else in CM had this happen and found a good backup plan, like a specific coworking space with reliable fiber?

My laptop battery died right before a big video call in a library

I was at the main branch of the public library in Springfield, trying to look professional for a new client meeting. My laptop was at 5% and I forgot my charger. The call started, my screen went black, and I had to explain the whole thing from my phone. I now keep a spare charger in my bag at all times. Anyone else have a go-to backup plan for power issues?
