Picked the $89 box store framing nailer over the $320 Hitachi, and I have thoughts
Needed a framing nailer for a 600 sq ft deck job in Tacoma last month, so I stood in the aisle for 20 minutes comparing the $89 house brand against the $320 Hitachi, and went cheap since the deck was a one time thing. It jammed 3 times in the first hour and the depth adjustment kept drifting, but it sank 2,000 nails over the weekend and never quit on me. Anyone here run a cheap nailer for years and actually get your money's worth, or does the jam count catch up with you eventually?
