Shoutout to the guy at the Joshua Tree star party who saved my Orion shot
I was out there last month trying to get the Orion Nebula with my new ZWO camera, and my laptop battery died right as I started the 5 minute exposure. This older dude named Frank saw me freaking out and ran over with a portable power bank he always keeps in his bag. He plugged me in and the shot finished perfectly. Anyone have a go-to backup power setup they bring to dark sites?

Frank's the real hero! My backup plan is just hoping my old laptop holds out, which is basically like bringing a chocolate teapot to a rainstorm. I once tried to use my phone as a hotspot to download a star chart and it died in five minutes flat.
