Vent: That person in the comments who told me my moon photo was overprocessed

Some random said my stacked moon image looked like a glazed donut and after comparing it to a raw single frame I realized they were right, so now I keep my sharpening slider below 30 and my saturation under 15, has anyone else had a random comment actually fix their editing?

Same thing happened to me with a recipe I posted. Someone said "that's way too much salt" and I got defensive at first but they were totally right, now I measure everything. It's like we need a random stranger to point out the obvious stuff we're blind to in our own work.

oh yeah, @quinn341 it's like our brains have built-in blind spots for our own stuff. i once argued for ten minutes that my guitar playing was fine until a kid pointed out i was holding the pick wrong. now i can't unsee it but at least i finally fixed it. guess that's just how we learn, through strangers who don't care about hurting our feelings.
