The coffee shop Wi-Fi at Ponce City Market sabotaged my demo
Last Thursday I had a scheduled video call with a prospect in Buckhead, and my home connection has been choppy all week. So I packed up and headed to Ponce City Market thinking the public Wi-Fi would handle it. Big mistake. The network kept dropping every five minutes, and I ended up having to switch to my phone hotspot mid-presentation. The call went fine after that, but the awkward pauses and my stuttering apology definitely hurt the vibe. I didn't realize how much I relied on a stable connection until I was in that spot. Have any of you found a reliable cafe or co-working spot in Atlanta for remote client calls, or do you just bite the bullet and pay for a day pass somewhere? I need a backup plan before my next big pitch.
Ugh, that mid-presentation scramble is the worst. Been there with a choppy hotspot and it makes you feel like such an amateur even when it's not your fault. Honestly a day pass somewhere with real Wi-Fi might be worth it just for the peace of mind before a big pitch.
