Are you sure the 7 day thing didn't just work because that client was already about to pay? I do billing for a small shop and we tried the 7 day nudge for a few months. What happened was folks who were just slow started getting annoyed, like we didn't trust them, and a couple of them pushed us to the bottom of the pile out of spite. Our best payers are the ones sitting on net 30 and they pay on day 30 every time, a day 7 email does nothing for them. The fix for us was day 14, short and plain, no "just checking in" fluff.

Did you check if the rotary was actually set up right on that deck, like was the tripod on solid ground? A lot of those pricier rotaries are way more finicky about level surfaces and vibration than a simple cross line. Curious if the drift was the tool's fault or just how sensitive it was.
