Warning: That networking group I thought was a scam turned out to be legit after all

Last spring I kept seeing posts about the Buckhead Business Exchange and honestly figured it was just another paid meetup where nobody actually helps each other. I almost deleted the email three times before finally showing up to a Thursday morning meeting at a coffee shop on Peachtree. Turns out the group is run by a lady named Susan who has been connecting small business owners in Atlanta for over 12 years now. She introduced me to a contractor who ended up referring me to three clients within two months. I still don't love the $15 breakfast fee but the leads have been real and consistent. Has anyone else had good luck with a specific local networking group after being burned by one of those big expensive ones?

$15 for breakfast at a coffee shop? Honestly that's wild for coffee and a muffin but if the leads are real I'd probably suck it up too.

Man that's steep for sure, but honestly my bank account is already crying so what's another $15 at this point. Bought a croissant and a latte yesterday and felt fancy until I saw my balance and realized I could've bought a whole bag of groceries instead.

$15 is nothing compared to what those big corporate networking groups charge, and you actually got real clients out of it. Sounds like a solid deal to me.
