Man, I've heard that same line from green guys for years and it drives me up a wall. Blocking a panel takes ten extra seconds and saves you from chasing a gremlin for two hours later. Here's the thing though, half these kids were never taught right, they get handed a spray bomb and a "good luck" and that's it. Next time just show him one panel done both ways, let him watch the meter, he'll figure it out quick.
